The Potomac Region is one of 13 member regions of the North-South Skirmish Association (N-SSA). The Potomac Region is one of the oldest, and one of the largest, encompassing Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware. Units are generally based on units that served in the American Civil War, as are the uniforms. We shoot breakable targets with live ammo, against the stopwatch. Let the fastest team win!

About N-SSA Potomac Region
The N-SSA's core missions are to:

Commemorate the service and sacrifice of the soldiers who fought on both sides of the conflict

Encourage the preservation and display of Civil War artifacts, clothing, and other historical materials.

Promote the safe and competitive use of Civil War-era firearms and black powder.

Educate the public about this period of American history.
